On June 6-10, 2022 representatives of Spanish largest fashion retailer Inditex, the founder of the world’s largest chain of clothing and retail stores such as Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Aysho, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Uterkue, visited Tashkent. The main purpose of the visit is to hold meetings with the management of Senate of Oliy Majlis, Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan,
visiting enterprises and clusters of the textile industry in Uzbekistan, as well as studying working conditions of workers in the manufacturing sector, learning impact of production process on the environment and impact of chemicals, used during the production process to consumer.
As part of their visit, guests of Tashkent got acquainted with the activities of one of the largest enterprises in the textile industry of Uzbekistan – “BakanTex” spinning factory. During the visit to the factory, representatives of Inditex highly appreciated the quality of products and also emphasized that the conditions created for workers at the plant are favorable. Also the parties discussed about further mutual cooperation.
